About the Position:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as an integral member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and families. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with mental health professionals, case managers, treatment foster parents, and other stakeholders to support the holistic well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for children and adolescents with a variety of mental health concerns.
  • Offer consultation and oversight to a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), ensuring high-quality care delivery and adherence to best practices.
  • Function as a Licensed Medical Practitioner (LMP) for the agency, authorizing behavioral health services as required and determining the medical necessity of services in individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the multidimensional treatment team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices such as Treatment Foster Care, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, GenPMTO Parent Management Training, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other clinical service models.
  • Conduct annual mental health assessments and reassessments as needed, in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Valid Oregon medical license and DEA registration.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a psychiatric setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Schedule & Location:

OCP’s clinic is located in Eugene, Oregon.  Psychiatrists at OCP enjoy flexible scheduling options, ranging from hourly consultation to 1-2 full days per week. The most urgent need is for a full day or two afternoons per week. While in-person availability is preferred, telehealth or hybrid options can be considered to accommodate individual preferences and circumstances.
