We are seeking a dependable, experienced Childcare Provider for a temporary maternity leave substitute position lasting approximately 14–16 weeks, beginning Wednesday, November 11.
About the Position:
TThis is a part time/hourly position: approximately 15-20 hours per week; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Base compensation: $19.84 per hour (may be higher depending on pay equity differentials)
Job Duties:
- Provide attentive, interactive care for children ages 0–12 while their parents or caregivers receive services onsite at OCP.
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, including caring for infants and babies.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and clean childcare space.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to children’s needs using trauma-informed practices. Training and supervision are provided.
- Provide administrative support during childcare downtime, including reception backup, stocking supplies, organizing materials, and simple paperwork.
- This is an interactive childcare role, not a traditional daycare position. Childcare sessions typically last 1–2 hours and may include up to five children. Diaper changes are handled by parents or caregivers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have prior childcare experience, especially comfortable with infants and babies.
- Comfortable accepting and implementing feedback, coaching, and supervision.
- Possess basic computer competency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning other software needed to perform reception backup responsibilities.
- Good professional references and pass the criminal background check.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
- Have reliable vehicle and sufficient insurance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Comfortable getting up and down from the floor.
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
- Ability to sit, squat, and stand for at least 15 minutes at a time.
