As a full-time individual and family therapist, you will guide children and families in learning concrete strategies to build relationships, improve communication, reduce problem behaviors, and connect with meaningful positive activities and people. You will receive in-depth training in evidenced-based interventions along with a high level of supervision and support. You will work closely with team members to intervene on a family systems level, a supportive approach that engages caregivers as the primary agent of change in their child’s life.

Responsibilities of an Individual and Family Therapist include:  

  • Managing a caseload of approximately 20 clients, comprised of both youth and caregivers, and intervening using evidenced-based treatment models, in person and via a secure telehealth platform.
  • Driving for community-based sessions or meetings, including in-home sessions as needed.
  • Providing case management and care coordination to support therapy goals.
  • Utilizing validated assessment tools to measure progress on treatment objectives and regularly updates service documentation to show progress.
  • Actively participating in staff clinical and supervision meetings.
  • Providing accurate and timely record keeping and documentation for all clinical activities using electronic health records system, including keeping work calendar up to date.
  • Meeting billing expectations set by supervisor, and communicates with supervisor to address any barriers to meeting set target.
  • Engaging in ongoing training and supervision to promote model adherence in service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major study in social work/behavioral science or a closely allied field and one year of experience in the care and treatment of children or young adults.
  • Experience treating families, children, and adolescents; and comfort providing services in the community, client homes or school settings.
  • Experience implementing evidence-based or protocol-driven treatment preferred.
  • Experience with a behavioral approach to treating youth and families preferred.
  • Experience with the administrative components of treatment (case documentation) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a treatment team.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable car, and adequate automobile liability insurance.
  • Must meet any required state certification or licensing criteria.
  • Preference to applicants bilingual in English and Spanish, but not required

Starting Salary: $47,445 or higher DOE and bilingual capabilities, and opportunities for advancement.
